Callum Birch (he/him) is supporting ILGA's UN Programme on its work on the Universal Periodic Review and the Human Rights Council.
Callum received a master’s degree in Human Rights from University College London in 2016. At UCL, his research focused on the experiences of LGBTIQ asylum seekers in the UK. He then interned at the Cambodian Center for Human Rights, working on LGBTIQ issues and protection of human rights defenders. During his internship, he worked on various collaborative projects with local NGOs and UN agencies on LGBTIQ rights in Cambodia, including the United Nations Human Rights, UNAIDS and UN Women.
